Sweater Weather // Tobi Collaboration

Christmas is here! Can you believe it?! It only recently just got cool enough in Texas to layer which is so sad to me. I live for cooler temperatures. My attitude gets better, my outfits get cuter, the world is prettier when it's dressed up in lights and red ribbon. So I was super excited when Tobi reached out to me just in time for this cold front that breezed through.

This lavender lace up sweater dress has been my go-to for lounging around on the weekends or when I'm working from home and still want to feel like I'm in my pajamas. It's literally SO soft. Plus it's super chic and easy to transition from day to night.. (or in this case, from pajamas to day to night) Throw up some boot socks and booties and you have a casual weekend look or pair it with thigh high boots for a more dramatic evening feel.

Ive found that as I get older, and especially now that I have my own little home all decorated for the holidays, I never want to leave. With it being cold outside, staying indoors and watching Christmas movies while my Christmas tree is all lit up is my favorite activity. And if I can come home at the end of the day and not have to put on sweatpants because my sweater dress is cozy enough, well then that's a win/win in my book!

Now I've never met a sweater I didn't like. Typically though, I reach black or neutral tones. But when I saw this bright pop of color I got so excited! The pink sweater has become a staple in my winter wardrobe. It's so easy to pair with any color denim and even goes perfectly with the white boot trend that's happening right now. It's not a very heavy sweater so it's great for in-between temps + with the bright pink it will be a perfect transitional piece for spring. And let me tell you, I've never gotten more compliments on one piece of clothing. I can't walk out of a store or coffee shop and not have at least 4 people tell me how much they love the sweater itself! Who doesn't want an item like that in their closet?

If you know me at all, you know that 95% of the time, I will be wearing a jacket. Don't ask me why, but it's a staple of almost every outfit of mine. I try to branch out and throw on an oversized cardigan and sometimes, on occasion, it wins. But I always have the hardest time figuring out what to wear underneath so that I don't look like a bum. Chic camis are my go-to. They are so versatile and pair well with so many things (including all my jackets) This white camisole is a welcomed addition to my closet full of black layering pieces and quite possibly my new favorite staple. It's more of a polished piece as opposed to a cotton basic. You can dress it up or down - since it's slightly cropped and flowy at the bottom with the little layers. The best part about sleeveless layering pieces is that they are so easily transitional between seasons. And in a neutral color like white, you can pair it all year long.
